‘The Elephant King’ went on the silver screen at the beginning of the new Iranian calendar year. During this period of time the flick attracted record breaking audience which is considered a success for an animation.

Statistics show that more that 1 million cinemagoers watched the movie in the cinemas all over the country.

Running for 90 minutes in collaboration with a team of 150 professionals, ‘The Elephant King’ has the largest number of characters among Iranian animations.

Set in Africa, the animation narrates the story of an elephant who rules over its group like a king.

The queen bears him a son and everybody expects the son to replace his father as heir to the throne. The clumsy baby elephant, however, disappoints them all.
